oh yeah. it’s real. william shatner created a sci fi social network to connect humans with other humans infatuated with alien poon. what’s so different about this social network vs something like facebook or myspace? well, first of all i don’t know anyone affiliated with facebook or myspace that can save you money on hotels. second, a sci fi social network is bound to be way less creepy. unless you look like princess leia, no one will harass you with cock shots attached to skeezy messages. third, this is like peopleofwalmart.com cept in space. i cant WAIT to see what kinds of shit people post!!! you are assigned to a planet based on your talent (actress, graphic designer, gamer, etc), and you can work on projects together. you must keep up with a captain’s log, which is supposedly reviewed regularly by shatner himself.

Sooo…they only ran like one episode of this genius but hoooooo boy was it amazing. Granted, it was significantly more ayzkicking if you were under the influence but, holy crap was it good.

The premise was very simple: people with skills in a certain subject faced off against animals with skills.

In addition to the above match-up (bear vs. champ hot dog eater to see who could down 50 hot dogs the fastest) we got to see a sprinter vs. a zebra in a race, monkey vs. special forces dude in an obstacle course, AND (my personal favorite) 50 midgets vs. 1 elephant pulling a 747.

Is there anything sweeter?

I really don’t understand why ridiculously rich people don’t hold these types of contests for their amusement on the regular. If I had millions, bet your sweet ass I’d host shit like this every fucking weekend.

The history of epic awesome…

Once upon a time, some dude on this uber ghei-nerd forum site (NeoGAF), lived up to the ghei-nerd stereotype and posted about how much he loooooved the Nintendo DS game Imagine: Babyz Fashion. Surprisingly, his fellow ghei-nerds ridiculed him for liking the DS and called him a pedo for liking that game. Of course homeboy got all defensive and replied to the ridicule with the following:

“So, I’m a pedophile because I don’t want to play Dudebro, My Shit is Fucked Up So I Got to Shoot/Slice You II: It’s Straight-Up Dawg Time? To throw around these sort of accusations at someone who seeks to do something different suggests quite the insecurity on your part.”

The hilariousness of his response spawned memes and the internets took the next step – people have organized and are actually creating this game. The internet wins again!

Although it’s not out yet, it’s making me feel special in dirty places.
